Final Score: New York Mets 5 - Washington Nationals 10. The MLB.com Box Score is attached. Oliver Perez (2-1) got the loss and Shawn Hill (1-0) got the win.
All I can say is that it started out well. The Mets were in complete control of this game until the Nationals tied it up in the Bottom of the 5th. Then the Nats just kept scoring like Forest Gump kept running. And just like the Yankees, the Mets got attacked by Gnats. So Johan saved us yesterday, but Oli couldn’t provide the Mets with the opportunity to win the ballgame. Then came the Heilman/Sosa tandem…they allowed 5 runs combined. How are we going to win this series against the Braves this weekend if we can’t sweep a two-game series against the Nats?
